FAQ

Who are these trips for?

Our trips are designed for homeschool, worldschool, roadschool, and travel-loving families who want to explore new places while connecting with other families. You don't have to follow any particular homeschool style or curriculum to join us.

Do we have to be a homeschool family?

Our community is centered around homeschool and worldschool families, but we welcome families who share the same spirit of adventure, connection, and learning through experiences.

How do the group trips work?

Each trip is a little different. We choose a destination and negotiate group opportunities whenever possible, such as discounted lodging, activities, lift tickets, rentals, excursions, or other experiences.

Families typically book and pay for their own travel and accommodations using the information or booking links provided for that particular trip.

Are these guided or fully organized tours?

No. We want our trips to have structure without feeling overly scheduled.

We'll organize opportunities for families to meet, explore, and participate in activities together, while still giving everyone plenty of freedom to enjoy the destination at their own pace.

Do we have to participate in every group activity?

Absolutely not. Everything is optional.

Join the activities that work for your family, take a day to explore on your own, or simply meet back up with the group later. These trips are meant to be flexible.

What ages are the trips designed for?

Our trips are generally designed for families with children and teens. Because every trip and activity is different, we'll provide recommended ages or any age restrictions on the individual trip page.

Will there be other kids my children's ages?

We can't guarantee a particular age mix, but we'll provide information about the families joining whenever appropriate so parents have an idea of the group.

One of our main goals is creating opportunities for kids to meet, explore, and build friendships with other homeschool and worldschool kids.

How many families usually attend?

Group size will vary by destination. Some trips may be small and intimate, while others may include 10 to 20 or more families.

We'll provide anticipated group size and any minimum participation requirements on each trip page.

Can we bring grandparents or other family members?

Usually, yes! We love multigenerational travel. Individual accommodations or activities may have occupancy or age restrictions, which will be noted on the trip page.

What's included in the trip price?

This varies by trip.

Each trip page will clearly explain what's included, what's optional, and what families will book separately. Depending on the destination, group benefits may include discounted lodging, activities, equipment rentals, attraction tickets, meals, or other experiences.

Do we book our own flights?

Unless specifically stated otherwise, families are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the destination.

This also gives families the flexibility to use airline miles or credit-card points, choose their preferred airport, or extend their trip before or afterward.

Do we have to stay at the recommended hotel or resort?

Usually not, although staying with the group is encouraged because it's a big part of the experience.

Some negotiated group benefits may only be available to families staying at the designated property.

Can we arrive early or stay longer?

Absolutely. Whenever the hotel or resort allows it, we'll provide information about extending your stay before or after the official group dates.

Are group discounts guaranteed?

We work with hotels, resorts, activity providers, and other partners to secure special group pricing whenever possible.

Discounts may depend on minimum participation, availability, booking deadlines, or other requirements. All details will be clearly explained before you book.

What happens if a trip doesn't get enough families?

Some trips may require a minimum number of participating families or bookings to receive group pricing.

If a minimum applies, we'll make that clear from the beginning and communicate any important deadlines before families make non-refundable arrangements whenever possible.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation policies vary depending on the hotel, resort, activity provider, or other travel partner.

Before booking, families should review the specific cancellation and refund policies associated with their reservations.

Who is responsible for children during the trip?

Parents and guardians remain responsible for supervising their children throughout the trip.

These are family travel experiences and community meetups, not drop-off camps or childcare programs.

Are meals included?

It depends on the trip. Some accommodations may include breakfast or certain group meals, while other trips may leave meals completely open.

We'll list any included meals on the individual trip page.

What about dietary restrictions?

We know families have many different dietary needs and preferences. When planning destinations and group activities, we'll try to highlight restaurants and options that accommodate a variety of diets.

Families should always communicate allergies or important dietary requirements directly to restaurants, hotels, and activity providers.

Can families with beginners join adventure or ski trips?

Definitely. When possible, we choose destinations that offer activities for a variety of experience levels.

For ski trips, for example, families may be able to arrange lessons, rentals, and beginner terrain while more experienced skiers explore the mountain.

Is this a travel agency?

Our primary purpose is to bring families together and create shared travel experiences.

Depending on the trip, reservations may be made directly with the hotel, resort, activity provider, or an affiliated travel professional. We'll always explain how booking works before you commit.

How will we communicate before and during a trip?

Before each trip, participating families will receive important trip information, schedules, booking details, and updates.

We may also create a private group chat for participating families so everyone can communicate, coordinate activities, ask questions, and connect before arriving.

How do I hear about upcoming trips?

Join our community or email list to be the first to hear about new destinations, dates, group rates, and upcoming meetups.

Some trips may have limited lodging or group capacity, so joining early is the best way to stay informed.

Can we suggest a future destination?

Please do! This community is being built around the families participating in it.

If there's somewhere you've always wanted to experience with other homeschool or worldschool families, we'd love to hear about it.

Have another question? Reach out anytime. We're happy to help you decide whether an upcoming adventure is right for your family.
